Hand scoured, Hand carded, Hand spun and Hand knit.
This is a sample of a sweater designed by Marlie. It is hand knit from hand spun wool from Coriedale/Finn mix breed sheep raised in West Marin on Windrush Farm in Chileno Valley.
The wool is scoured/washed by hand, carded and hand spun into thinner and thicker yarns to create the design you see in the sweater. Then it is hand knit. Many of Marlie's design are with natural colored hand spun yarns. All are one of a kind.

Series of Japanese inspired sweaters
This is a sample of a series of sweaters that were on display in a solo exhibit at the Dance Palace Community Center in Point Reyes Station. They were inspired by Japanese simplicity and followed an exhibit of hand made kimonos at the Marin Community Foundation. The basic sweater is made from local mill spun yarn with added roving and ceramic designs.
Machine knit and felted
This is a sample of a sideway knitted vest. It is knit from prime merino,
random silk threads are added to create a different shade and then
the vest is slightly felted to create the softest fabric you can imagine.
Whimsical elements, like felted flowers or small glass red hot pepper beads are added to create a unique garment.
